Finding the perfect lunchbox is tricky it needs to the right size and shape, easy to use, not too expensive and definitely not plastic.
Over the last 12 years we tried and tested so many different types – most simply didn’t
last. On this journey we graduated to stainless steel containers with plastic lids and as our awareness the waste issues and especially plastic pollution and the horrifically long lifespan of plastic this was no longer appropriate.
Last year I decide to take the plunge and road test some of the stainless steel lunchboxes on the market. The boys loved them but with three boys and only two lunch boxes…
Thank you Santa, all three boys now have stainless steel lunchboxes. My big eaters have the sustain-a-stacker trios and my littlest eater has the tuck-a-stacker trio. Each of these has a small stainless steel container inside – perfect for nuts and cheese and crackers or a treat and not a plastic lid in sight.
